Squirrels
Squirrels are a pest that can cause much damage and sleepless nights with their activities when nesting in a loft space or chimney. They may look cute but can become very aggressive if their territory is threatened, especially if they have young in the nest.
The Grey Squirrel carries a fatal disease called the Pox virus which kills the native Red squirrel once mated. The red squirrel is protected under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 so care must be taken when identifying the species. The Pox Virus cannot be spread to humans.
