Houses on the edge of the heath

Blackheath Village, around Tranquil Vale and Montpelier Vale, is a small high street of restaurants, delis and independent shops. Around it and across the heath are Georgian terraces such as The Paragon, big Victorian villas, and the 1950s and 1960s Span houses of the Cator Estate. Westcombe Park, to the north east, is tighter Victorian and Edwardian terraces running down towards the station. Kidbrooke Village adds new flats to the south.
