How much does wasp nest removal cost?

What affects the price

• Where the nest is. Common wasps build almost anywhere dry and undisturbed: lofts, sheds, air bricks, cavity walls, chimneys and old burrows in the ground. A nest in a shed is simpler to reach than one high under the eaves or deep in a roof space.

• How many nests. Two nests on one property can often be treated on the same visit.

• Home or business. A nest at a school, restaurant or shop may need a visit timed around when the site is quiet.

Treat it early

A nest starts in spring, when the queen wakes from hibernation, and keeps growing through the summer. Treating it earlier rather than later is always advised, because there are fewer wasps and the job is quicker and safer.

What happens on the day

The technician, in protective clothing, treats the nest entrance with a professional product. Returning wasps carry it into the nest and the colony dies off, usually within a day or two. Please do not block the entrance afterwards: trapped wasps look for another way out, sometimes into the house.

A nest dies off by itself in winter, when the wasps run out of food, and is not used again. A nest high in a tree and away from paths may not need treating at all, and we will tell you if that is the case.
