A neighbourhood made of docks

Most of SE16 was once the Surrey Commercial Docks. Today the water is still there, at Greenland Dock, South Dock, Canada Water and along the Thames Path, with Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill in between. Rotherhithe village keeps its old riverside streets, St Mary's church and the Brunel Museum. Around them are converted warehouses, low-rise 1980s estates, older council blocks and the new buildings of the Canada Water scheme.
