W5 is central Ealing. It centres on Ealing Broadway, with its shopping streets and the Elizabeth line station, and spreads to Haven Green, Ealing Common, the streets around Walpole Park and South Ealing, and north to Pitshanger Lane and Hanger Hill. Big houses, big gardens, squirrels

Ealing is known for its late Victorian and Edwardian houses with long gardens and mature trees, especially around Pitshanger, Castlebar and the Common. That makes grey squirrels a regular W5 call. Ealing Council says pest control is now available to qualifying council owned properties only. It no longer treats individual council households unless they are classed as vulnerable, it still treats communal areas in multi occupancy buildings, and the service is not available to private properties.
